Ferol Alene Good

Ferol Good, age 69, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 4:45 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Ferol was born June 4, 1943 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was raised in Memphis, Mo., lived in Orange County, Ca. for several years before moving to Joplin in 1971. She attended Missouri Southern State College. Ferol was employed for 10 years with David and Sherri Starrett at the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, and later worked for five years with David Weaver at Weaver Photography.

Ferol was a faithful Christian servant and devoted member of the College Heights Christian Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She served on the Board for the College Skyline Recreation Association. Ferol was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and a devoted baseball Mom. She enjoyed writing, travelling, treasuring family photographs and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Ferol was a pillar of strength with a gentle spirit to her family and friends.

Ferol married Dwayne Good June 24, 1961 in Memphis, Mo. She was a faithful wife and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage on an Alaskan cruise with cherished friends. She is survived by her husband and their four children; daughter, Traci Heinrich and husband Bryan, O’Fallon, Mo., three sons, Troy Good and wife Lisa, Argyle, Tx., Todd Good, St. Charles, Mo., and Terry Good and wife Krista, Joplin, brother, Stanley Myers, Linn, Mo. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren; Caitlin Good, Ashley Good, Paige Heinrich, Kyle Good, Lauren Good, Britton Heinrich, Avery Good, Jaden Heinrich, Lana Heinrich, and Colbie Heinrich.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the College Heights Christian Church Worship Center with Randy Gariss, Ben Merold, and Cecil Todd, Ministers, officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday in the College Heights Christian Church Atrium. Memorial contributions are requested to the College Heights Chrisitan Church in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
