Cecil E. Peters
(November 6, 1924 - May 10, 2012)
Cecil retired as Chief Flight Engineer after 22 years in the US Navy. He them worked at American Fixture, Eagle Picher and Murray Guard. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Unit #315 where he served as secretary. Cecil married Anita Nadine Peters on April 8, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Virginia. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2011. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Naumann of North Richland Hills, Tx., Carol Slone of Duenweg, Mo.; one brother Carl Peter of Pekin, Il.; one sister, Lavina Swonger of Pekin, Il.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Peters February 9, 1965 and three sisters. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 15, 2012 at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Randy L. Wilson Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Harper, Lee Harper, Wade Daniels, Damon Waggoner, Milton Head and John Ness. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Fleet Reserve Association #315 in care of the mortuary.
